Key Stage 4

Our Curriculum

The KS4 Curriculum is designed to engage pupils in a personalised curriculum which enables them to achieve currency and character. This is in the form of qualifications and social and emotional skills which will help them to move into post 16 provision and ultimately employment.

The curriculum has 3 core elements:

– Core e.g. Maths, English, Personal Development
– Options e.g. Art, GCSE PE
– Vocational e.g. Catering, Duke of Edinburgh Award, STEM

Below is a video of our class of 2016 showcasing their amazing, creative talents using music to support their English GCSE text, Of Mice and Men. This piece of work was showcased in Warrington Museum and won two of our students awards in the area of music and the arts.

Each day starts with a social time where pupils spend time with their key workers to prepare them for the day. Breakfast is available for all pupils. Each group follows a programme of activities where they discuss a range of current topics and work on developing social skills.

Pupils also have access to the Careers Guidance officer during school time in order to support applications to college, apprenticeships etc.
